Silicone Fluids - SILDM Range

Silicone Fluids
SILDM Range

Silicone fluid or Dimethylpolysiloxane (DMPS), (also referred to as Trimethylsiloxy Terminated Polydimethylsiloxanes)is a water clear fluid available in viscosities from 10 cSt to 1,000,000 cSt.

This fluid finds application in diverse spectra of industries. It is due to their unique molecular structure, that they possess unique properties. Silicone fluidsfind application in varied processes across industries, ranging from textiles, pulp & paper, leather, petrochemicals, rubber, plastics, metals, pharmaceuticals, medical, automobiles, sugar, distilleries etc.

Silicone fluid is inert in nature and non-ionic.

Special Features •  Largely resistant to change in physical properties over a wide temperature range
•   Chemically inert and has low toxicity
•   Nonionic in nature
•   Chemically resistant to dilute acids except (HF), alkalis, metals and metal salts
•   Possesses Excellent thermal and oxidative stability
•   Possesses low surface tension
•   Excellent hydrophobicity - water repellency
•   Steady viscosity-temperature gradient when compared to hydrocarbons
•   Excellent shear stability
•   Excellent dielectric properties
•   Non-flammable
•   High compressibility
•   Superior resistance to weathering and ageing
•   Resistant to fungal and micro-organism growth
