Silicone Surfactant Spreader is crop-care silicone. It is an excellent wetting agent, developed to improve the wetting, spreading and penetration of chemicals, insecticides, pesticides, and herbicides. The Silicone Super Spreader reduces the surface tension to a very low level, resulting in a rapid wetting cum spreading on leaves and hydrophobic surfaces. When incorporated in formulations, near complete coverage of the leaf is achieved.
The product facilitates uptake of chemicals into the plant tissue and is wash resistant, thereby extending the life of the formulation used also referred to as "Rain fastness". It can also be used as an ingredient in pesticide formulations, or at times, as a tank-mix adjuvant for foliar applied chemicals. The Silicone Super Spreader improves coverage and reduces consumption of insecticides, due to its ability to penetrate the insect shell and deliver the insecticide, resulting in improved efficacy.
